Abstract of Proposal:
In Ontario, the regulation of well being professions relies on a self-governance mannequin. There are 26 well being regulatory schools governing 28 well being professions below the Regulated Well being Professions Act, 1991, (RHPA) and their respective well being occupation Acts.
The RHPA was amended in October 2022 to cut back boundaries to registration and require Schools to ascertain an Emergency Class. To satisfy this requirement, the School of Occupational Therapists of Ontario is proposing to amend its Common regulation made below the Occupational Remedy Act, 1991, so as to add an emergency class certificates of registration.
The proposed regulation amendments are topic to prior overview by the Minister of Well being and the approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council.
Evaluation of Regulatory Influence:
